Nissan R31 Skyline - Sundial Gears

Overview

Our R31 Skyline Sundial Gears are designed to restore function of the mechanical odometer system within the instrument cluster. These gears are a known failure point in the factory setup, often leading to non-functioning or inaccurate mileage tracking.

This 2-part assembly replaces the original gear set responsible for transferring input from the speedometer signal into the odometer mechanism, ensuring accurate and consistent kilometre recording.

Installation Guide

1. Remove the instrument cluster and carefully disassemble the odometer housing.
2. Remove the failed or cracked OEM gears from the mechanism.
3. Press-fit the small gear onto the pin on the large gear, ensuring a secure interlock.
4. Install the assembled gear set into the original gear train position, ensuring correct alignment with the speedometer input gear.
5. Reassemble the odometer unit and test operation before reinstalling the cluster.
