Overview

Enhance your Nissan R31 Skyline's interior with our custom, reverse-engineered manual shifter surround kit. This kit provides a seamless replacement for the OEM plastic components that are located around the shifter and infront of the centre console.

Includes all required parts to complete the plastic trimming around the shifter ensuring the fabric boot can be affixed correctly.

Unfinished black plastic - minimal prep to finish in your coating of choice or simply run it as is, raw.

Specifications

The kit includes 4x components: 

• 1x Shifter Surround 
• 1x Boot Retaining Plate
• 1x Upper Collar
• 1x Elastic Band

Installation Guide:

This assembly can be completed outside of the car, carefully read the instructions and the install is a simple press fit.

*In the case that your Fabric Shifter Boot already has 18x holes on the bottom face, skip to Step 4.

1. Wrap the bottom edge of your Fabric Shifter Boot around the underside of the Boot Retaining Plate.
2. While holding the top of the Fabric Shifter Boot, pull through the Fabric Shifter Boot bottom edge (this will overhang, hidden underneath) until the tension is to your desired aesthetic - floppy, tight or somewhere in between.
3. On the bottom of the Boot Retaining Plate you will notice the 18x pins pushing on the bottom face of the Fabric Shifter Boot. Mark out exactly where all the pins are on the Boot Retaining Plate and pierce correlating holes in the fabric (a soldering iron is recommended for this).
4. Locate and align the 18x pins on the Boot Retaining Plate with the holes on your Fabric Shifter Boot, carefully lower the pins through the Fabric Shifter Boot and apply light, downward pressure directly to the Boot Retaining Plate until all pins fall into the holes on the Manual Surround and lock the Fabric Shifter Boot in place. *Do not force Boot Retaining Plate - the pins are fragile and prone to snap if installed incorrectly or forcefully.
5. Wrap the top edge of your Fabric Shifter Boot around the top of the Upper Collar and fasten the overhanging fabric from the inside with the elastic band.

6. Locate and align the 6x tabs on the underside of the Shifter Surround with the holes on the plastic trim in front of the centre console.
7. Carefully lower the complete assembly over the shifter until the Upper Collar seats on the shifter.
8. Apply light, downward pressure on the Shifter Surround until all tabs fall into their holes and lock the surround in place.
